If you haven't heard of a new event called "The Garden", you're missing out! This event comes from a small event company called The Liaison Collabortive, who also run "The Boutique". The Garden opened today and will continue through May 10th, 2013. The theme for this round is "English Garden Party" and we hope you'll love what fri.day home has to offer!
It's been awhile since I updated the website with all the newness from fri.day and fri.day home so it's time to catch you up! It's been a busy two months with a lot of events but I'll post about what's currently available.
Pose Fair 2013
There's a week left of Pose Fair and I have 2 new pose sets, 2 discount sets, a full perm pose kit for creators AND the new monkey bars from fri.day home! Drop by and demo everything!
Last but not least, our new fri.day home set release, the ahoy set! This set has a classic nautical theme with a ton of options (even some for those of you who aren't so nautical :P). The set includes 8 pieces (as well as adult versions of the bench and bunk bed) that can be purchased separately as well. You can demo the furniture at the fri.day store or floorplan.! The ahoy set (pg and adult) is also available on the marketplace. You can view the photos for the individual pieces here.
I was so excited to begin working with Tegan Serin (aka Friday Monday!) of floorplan. on our new collaboration, fri.day home. Each month there will be a new set release with items for your home and garden. Our first set release is here and I hope you will love it as much as we do!
The "parlor set" has a total of 15 pieces (there are 2 versions of the loveseat, PG and ADULT). You can see the individual pieces and information in the fri.day home flickr set.
There are also two items available for FLF today, the new "entry ensemble" and a new version of one of our favorite pieces, the "pastel suitcase table" with 3 texture options.
We look forward to bringing you wonderful items each month. Have a great weekend <3.
Happy New Year!
The January round of FaMESHed has begun and I got the opportunity to be a guest!
I decided to redo an old popular item from fri.day (finally!) in mesh. You may or may not remember the 'Wide.Waist Belt", retired ages ago, but I've created a similar style from scratch. It's not exact but hopefully you will find it close :).
The Wide.Belt II is available exclusively as a pre-release at FaMESHed. There are 3 neutral colors to choose from and the full release will come at the end of the event.
The belts were created to wear higher on the waist and I felt that the style required modify permissions. These are *non-rigged* so you can resize/move them as needed. I've included 3 pre-made sizes for convenience. Be sure to try a demo!
Here's to a wonderful 2013!
I was privileged to have the opportunity to collaborate with Tegan Serin of floorplan. for the December round of Atelier Kreslo! The "volare uccellino" (Italian translation: fly little bird) is a wonderful and whimsical mesh chair created by Tegan. It comes in 3 wood types (the base) and each is scripted with 3 pillow textures. There are 11 poses (my contribution) including 3 couples poses that also work as single poses.
I have an exclusive, pre-release version of the new "Revenge.Belt" available now for Together for Sway. The mesh belt is inspired by Old West gun belts and comes in 5 sizes. Be sure to try the demo first. All proceeds go directly to Sway Dench!
There are brand new items from fri.day at Cinema 2012! Cinema (brought to you by The Hottie Cooterati Experience) is an elaborately themed, sim-wide event centered around one of our favorite past times… movies!
For this event, my genre is Action/Adventure and I've created items inspired by the character of Ellen from "The Quick and the Dead". These are loosely based on the actual wardrobe of course.
The set is called "Revenge" and there are currently 3 items, I plan to add a couple of more items to the set in the next week or so. These items are all mesh so you will need to demo them first!!
There are new items available now at fri.day! This release includes a mesh *and* system item.
The Kristen.Jacket is a rigged mesh jacket and there are 10 colors to choose from. There are 5 sizes included that are *based* on standard sizing (shaped differently) so trying a demo first is important!
The Cliquester.Tank is a system tank and comes in 13 colors. Solid and sheer versions are included.
In addition to the new release there is a new V.I.P. group gift for September! I wasn't able to get a gift out for August so I'm including two exclusive versions of the Marie.Jacket. This jacket will never be sold in-store! If you are interested in joining the fri.day VIP group just do a search in Groups for "fri.day" or click on a group join sign in-store. There is a one time join fee of L$50.
Hi there! I'm participating in the special one year anniversary round of Collabor88 this month! The Marie.Jacket is a fully rigged mesh jacket and you *must* try a demo before purchasing! There are 5 colors to choose from.
I've included a note in the demo with some important information about the shape and sizing. The jacket is very structured and close fitting, *based* on standard sizing. There is a big chance you will need to change your shape a bit for it to fit properly.
This version of the jacket is an exclusive for C88 and only available for this round. A different version (at full price) will be released later in the store.
Be sure to check out all the amazing creators at the event and have a great week!
I first want to mention that I've started a new fri.day V.I.P. group in world, it's simply called "fri.day". It's a standard group and will require you to have an open group slot. The reason I've created this group is for regular customers who enjoy fri.day products and are truly interested in future releases. There is a one time fee of L$50 when you join but keep in mind there will be special monthly gifts :). To join, just visit fri.day and click on the group join sign in the front entrance of the store! You can also just do a group search for fri.day.
I will still send updates to the subscriber group for now (for those who don't want to/can't join), so I would recommend unsubscribing if you join the V.I.P. group. This will ensure you don't get notices twice :).
Now for information on the poll I posted last week! The poll asked the question, "Are you currently only interested in purchasing mesh clothing?". Around 150 people answered the question and here are the results.
As you can see, the majority (61%) are still interested in purchasing system clothing as well as mesh. I was a little suprised by this result but what surprised me more was the amount of people who can't/won't wear mesh. Around 17% of the people either answered "No" or had more of an explanation for why they don't purchase it.
I know the amount of people that took the poll is a very small number considering the Second Life population. I do however believe that these answers most likely represent my customer base and I will take them into consideration with future releases. Until there's a way for mesh clothing to fit all shapes and sizes, I will continue to create system/mixed clothing.
Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to answer the poll! It will remain for anyone else who would like to chime in.
Have a great week <3
